Just outside the main living area is a narrow wooden balcony built around the trees. It is simple and slightly weathered, with only a pair of old chairs, a small table, and a lantern that Sophie lights when the evenings begin to grow darker. You might expect her favorite place to be inside the carefully designed treehouse, surrounded by its warm wooden walls and clever little comforts. But this is actually her favorite place! She loves sitting here with a cup of coffee, surrounded by branches and leaves, while looking out across the peaceful forest. Take a closer look at Sophie’s favorite spot in the photo below!

There is nothing luxurious about the balcony, and that is exactly what makes it feel so special. The chairs do not match, the wood shows its age, and the space is only wide enough for a few simple pieces of furniture. All she needs is a quiet seat above the ground, birds calling between the trees, and sunlight filtering through the leaves. For Sophie, that is more than enough. So, could you really live in 172 square feet, high among the trees and far from the nearest town? Sophie’s treehouse proves that space was never really the point. Sometimes the simplest place to sit becomes the most special part of the entire home!
